Välkommen till NBT Temadag 8 November
Välkommen till NBT Temadag om Nordiskt Brandskyddat trä i Stockholm den 8 november som i år anordnas i samarbete och samtidigt med Brandskydd 2017 i Upplands Väsby. Årets temadag om brandskyddat trä bjuder på många intressanta föredrag och inramas av möten mellan medlemmar och andra deltagare. Dessutom får konferensdeltagarna automatiskt tillgång till konferensen Brandskydd 2017, som arrangeras i lokalen bredvid.
About Fire Retardant Treated Wood
Fire retardant wood is in demand by architects and builders for use in, for example, public buildings and the facades of apartment buildings, where untreated wood can't be used due to current Swedish building regulations, BBR. One way is to use fire retardant treated wood, but most traditional fire retardant do not meet the requirements for durability when used outdoor. The issue was raised at the Nordic level as a result of multiple accident investigations. Refer to the New User Class section.The major area of use is internal walls and roofing materials.
Nordic Retardant Wood – NBT – lists fire retardant treated wood products that meet both fire class and classes for fire retardant treated wood requirements, see the section Fire Retardant Treated Wood Products. There are certified products listed and more information available. Certified products are entitled to bear NBT:s mark of quality.

Control Systems – Fire Retardants as Applied on Site
The control system for fire retardant treatment for wood is done on site to ensure that the right amount of fire retardant treatment is applied so that the desired fire class can be achieved. Supplier of paint or liquid and certified providers are responsible for the control. Various control systems are necessary for film-forming and non-film forming fire retardants.
